The workshop is split into 3 parts – a discussion about the science of what’s happening in the body whilst undergoing the practices, followed by a breathwork session and sharing your experience. We finish with the ice bath therapy.

A fun 4hr workshop that won’t disappoint, my Wim Hof workshop will bring you back to your mind-body connection. Bringing us back to being happy healthy & strong.

Frequently asked questions

Here is a list of questions I am asked frequently.
If you can’t find an answer to your question here please contact me and I’ll be very happy to help you.

Reported general benefits of the Method include: increased energy, improved sleep, reduced stress and anxiety, heightened focus, accelerated recovery, and a general improvement in quality of life. The potential benefits are numerous and diverse. Ultimately, the only way to find out what the Method does for you is to try it for yourself!

Also known as The Iceman, Wim Hof is a Dutch motivational speaker and extreme athlete noted for his ability to withstand low temperatures. He previously held a Guinness World Record for swimming under ice and prolonged full-body contact with ice, and he holds a record for a barefoot half marathon on ice and snow. He attributes these feats to his Wim Hof Method (WHM), a combination of frequent cold exposure, breathing techniques and meditation. Hof’s method has been the subject of several scientific studies, proving the health benefits of his method.

Yes.  It will bring you to your awareness through breathwork practice and Ice exposure.  Improving your mind-body connection.

Its advised against practising WHM if you are dealing with any of the following:
  • Coronary heart disease (e.g. Angina Pectoris; Stable Angina)
  • Cold urticaria
  • Epilepsy
  • Kidney failure
  • Raynaud’s Syndrome (Type II)
  • High blood pressure (in case of prescription medication)
  • A history of serious health issues like heart failure or stroke
  • Shortly after an operation

If you suffer from migraines, we urge you to be cautious about taking ice baths.

If you are pregnant, we advise against practicing the Wim Hof Method. We do not know if the increased adrenaline levels associated with the WHM techniques adversely affect the health of the baby. This is of course a tremendously delicate matter, and we want to be as careful as possible.

When the baby is born, you are safe to resume practicing the Method.

The breathing technique is an internal workout, also when your body is exposed to cold temperatures, it has to work harder to regulate its internal temperature. This increased effort leads to a spike in your metabolic rate, meaning your body burns more calories even when at rest.  More on this in the science section of the workshop.

Due to the method creating a better mind body connection,  you will be able to feel the effects on your body and the mindset will help your release habits that do not serve you.

The techniques are focused on deep and rhythmic inhalations and exhalations, also called controlled hyperventilation or power breathing. The breathing is followed by a retention period, where you hold your breath for a certain amount of time.

It can be dependent on your belief systems.
